A renaissance in English music emerged toward the end of the 19th century. The new musical style identified with folk song and Elizabethan dances that revitalized the genre of the chamber orchestra. This is a selection from our best-loved British composers and includes Jonathan Pitkin’s Whispering, clamoring commissioned by Ten Tors Orchestra in 2005.
