Submarine engineering apprentices come to the rescue

A team of Babcock Marine apprentices joined National Trust rangers to help clear up recent storm damage at Ayrmer Cove, near Plymouth.

Torpoint Ferry returns to service

One of the three Torpoint ferries has returned to full timetabled service following a month-long refit.

The Torpoint Ferry 'Plym II' was taken out of action last month for its triennial refit at A&P Falmouth.

Reduced service for Torpoint Ferry

One of the three Torpoint ferries, 'Plym II' will be taken out of service for a month with effect from Friday 13 September 2013 at 9.30am in preparation for its triennial refit at A&P Falmouth.

The ferry company says the refit is a key part of the planned maintenance programme for the vessel, and allows essential work to be undertaken in dry dock conditions.
