Plymouth Pavilions have announced the cancellation of Daniel O'Donnell's concert on 18 October.

In a message to customers they said: "It is with regret that we announce that this Friday’s Daniel O’Donnell concert at Plymouth Pavilions has been cancelled, along with the remainder of his UK tour.

"Unfortunately, Daniel’s Father-in-law is critical in hospital with a suspected brain hemorrhage, and so understandably Daniel has had no choice but to cancel his shows, for which both Daniel and his management offer their sincere apologies."

A spokesperson for the Pavilions said: “Whilst this cancellation is at very short notice with the show only a few days away, we have extremely robust communication procedures in place and all customers that have purchased tickets via our Box Office will be contacted today or tomorrow, and all tickets will be refunded in full”.

Daniel has sold millions of recordings worldwide and is the only artist in the world to claim at least one hit album every year since 1988, earning him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. His music DVDs have all been number one best-sellers ahead of some of the greatest stars from around the globe. He is the most successful easy listening-country singer in the UK and Ireland, and is officially one of the UK's Top 60 Best Selling Album Artists.
