Skipton building Society’s Charitable Foundation has donated £628 to Homemaker Limited.

The aim of the Homemaker charity is to prevent homelessness in the Devon, Plymouth, Torbay and Somerset area. The services provide are usually aimed at people who are at a high risk of becoming homeless and are in financial distress and therefore offers money advice, budgeting, debt advice, advocacy and tenancy sustainment.

Money donated by the Charitable Foundation is due to go towards the purchasing of new office screens for the charity’s new office. These screens are essential to ensure that the clients that are extremely vulnerable maintain confidentiality.

Cindy Saunders, the Branch Manager of Skipton Building Society’s Plymouth branch, has said, “Charities like Homemaker are essential for so many people and, because of them, so many people have been supported through horrible situations. I’m happy to know the Charitable Foundation chose to donate to Homemaker.
