Police appeal for witnesses to an assault on a bus in Devonport

Police investigating an assault are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the number 26 bus in Devonport on Tuesday 30th April to come forward.

An altercation took place on the bus as it was travelling along Chapel Street, Devonport between 4.30pm and 4.45pm.

A white man in his twenties suffered a cut to his face in the incident. The suspects, a white man and black man then left the bus.

Two men were later arrested in relation to the incident. Daniel Coles, aged 18, from Plymouth was charged with threatening behaviour and possession of a weapon of a public place. He was due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates on 4 May. A second man, aged 21, from Plymouth, was released on police bail until July 2013.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses and ask anyone with information to call police on 101 quoting reference ED/13/2407.
