On the second of April 1982 Argentina invaded the Falklands Islands – it was a war of a generation and one that many people will never forget. In one of the most horrific moments of the conflict, RFA Sir Galahad was bombed; aboard at the time was Simon Weston OBE. This was an event which would change his life forever. Against the odds, Simon escaped the burning and buckled ship, suffering 46% burns to his body.

Today he has become one of the most recognised faces of the conflict. Simon Weston; My Life, My Story is a truly inspirational show about one man’s journey from the front line of war and on the edge of death, to today being a happy and contented Father, Grandfather and national treasure.

The show contains media which some people may find upsetting.

Recommended for everyone aged 14+
