Police appeal to find missing teenager

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing teenager from Ivybridge.

Ryan Ranson, 17, was last seen at around 7am on Tuesday 20 January at Devonport Dockyard after he was dropped off at work.

He was reported missing by his family later that day after his colleagues called them asking where he was.

Plymouth City Council will be testing its Emergency Notification System next week (commencing 17 November).

Royal Navy landing craft collides with Cremyll Ferry

A Royal Navy landing craft from HMS Raleigh collided with the Cremyll Ferry this morning.

The crash happened at around 10am near Mayflower Marina.

A spokesman for the Navy said there are no reported injuries.

The ferry has been taken out of service and the landing craft is returning to Devonport Naval Base.

50th anniversary of Royal Navy's Freedom of the City marked with parade and ceremony

Hundreds of sailors and Royal Marines will march through Plymouth on Friday 20 September for a ceremonial event celebrating the close relationship between the city and the Royal Navy.

Around 550 serving personnel and veterans will take part in the parade, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the Naval Service in Plymouth being granted the Freedom of the City.
