Theatre Royal seeks merry band of boys and girls for Robin Hood pantomime

Plymouth's Theatre Royal has announced a search to find two teams of young stars for its upcoming production of Robin Hood.

The family pantomime will star Nigel Havers (playing 'The Sheriff'), Bobby Davro ('Will Scarlet') and Lee Mead ('Robin Hood') and will run from Friday 20 December 2013 to Saturday 25 January 2014.

The Theatre is seeking talented boys and girls aged between seven and 12 years of age to perform in the pantomime.

Auditions will take place at TR2, the Theatre Royal’s Production and Education Centre in Cattedown, Plymouth on Saturday 19 October with registration taking place between 1.30pm and 2.00pm.

The Theatre has set the following criteria for those wising to apply:

  • Boys and girls must be aged between 7 and 12 as of 19th October 2013.
  • Boys and girls must be no taller than 4 feet 6 inches with competent skills in modern dance.
  • Boys and girls must be available through the entire months of December 2013 and January 2014.
  • Boys and girls must be accompanied at the audition by a parent / guardian who must be prepared to stay for the entire day at TR2. Suitable applicants need to register at the TR2 reception area between 1.30pm and 2.00pm on Saturday 19 October 2013.
  • Boys and girls must bring plenty of food and drink with them as there will be limited refreshment facilities available at TR2.
