The family of Geraint Hughes, found stabbed at a property in the Feock area, near Truro, last week have released the following tribute.

“We are devastated by the tragic loss of our devoted and caring father. He was always there for us and we cannot believe he is gone. The last time we were all together was at the wedding just six weeks ago. We will always cherish the happiness we shared as a family that day.”

Police were called to the residential property by the ambulance service at around 7.40am on Friday 15 November.

On police arrival the body of Mr Hughes was found, who a short time later was declared deceased at the scene by medical experts.

A 58-year-old woman from Feock was also at the scene.  She had sustained some injuries. She was arrested on suspicion of murder and  taken to hospital for her injuries to be treated.

She was released from hospital on Tuesday 20 November and remains in police custody.

Detective inspector Ben Beckerleg said: "This is the beginning of an investigation, but early indications suggest this was a domestic incident and no-one else is being sought at this time. An investigation had now begun to fully understand the circumstances and events leading up to this man's death."

If anyone has any information about this incident please call 101 quoting log 124 of 15 November.
