Wedding rings stolen in burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at the home of an elderly Plymouth couple where two wedding rings were among the valuables stolen.

The offenders forced the kitchen window to get inside the property in Belgrave Road, Mutley, on 23 April while the occupants were not at home.

They stole cash, a mobile phone, two gold wedding rings, a ruby engagement ring and various items of jewellery.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time of the offence, between 10am and 12.15pm.

They are particularly keen to hear from any individual or second hand dealer who has been offered the items of jewellery for sale.
