Two Plymouth men, Daryl Baxter, age 38 of Blandford Road and Thomas Tatam, age 24 of Amherst Road, have been charged with intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an indictable offence.

The charges relate to the stabbing of a 23-year-old man in the Mutley Plain area of the city on the night of 13 April 2013.

They are due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court this morning, Tuesday 14 May.

This follows the charging of three men with attempted murder just days after the incident.

John Randolph, aged 40 and from the Whitleigh area of Plymouth, David Woolley of Northumberland Street, Weston Mill and Nigel Saunders of Peter's Close, Elburton were jointly charged with attempted murder last month.

The 23-year-old victim was stabbed and seriously injured while he was getting into a taxi in the Mutley Plain area at approximately 11pm on Saturday 13 April.

The victim, who has not been formally named, sustained a number of injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.
