The Property Development Forum, who hold regular property networking events sponsored by Ortus Group, are holding their Devon Grand Prix Championship next week for the second year running and hope to raise more cash for the Torquay based hospice.

The two-hour endurance race, for teams of 4 – 6 drivers, will be a fast, furious, and adrenaline-filled, evening with only one team taking the chequered flag and being crowned Devon Champions for the Year.

Members of the Forum, have created teams from local property related businesses from Exeter, Torbay and Plymouth and have high hopes for the endurance race this year. They include:

Event sponsor Ortus Group (architects and construction project managers based in Torbay), Trowers & Hamlins, Tregenna Group, Belfield Developments Ltd, Auction House South West, Roach Planning and Environment Limited, AJM Windows & Builders, Baker Estates Ltd, SLR Consulting Ltd and Bertram Fairbanks.

Participating teams will battle it out for two hours in the tiny karts in the endurance race, fuelled by refreshments laid on by the Networking group.

CEO of Ortus Group and founder of The Property Development Forum Tony Horsey said “We are thrilled to again be able to raise funds for such a worthy cause.  We are grateful for all the support shown by the businesses who joined us in this event and contributed so generously.  We are really looking forward to another great event this year and thank everyone for making this opportunity happen to support Rowcroft for a second year.”

Last year, Alison Upton from Rowcroft attended to receive the cheque on behalf of Rowcroft Hospice. She was delighted to receive the cheque and spoke to the crowd for several minutes, explaining about the work that Rowcroft Hospice carries out to enhance the lives of terminally ill people in Torbay, both at the hospice itself and in the home aswell.

The Property Development Forum is an informal networking group aimed specifically at property developers, land owners and investors and whose ambition is to facilitate deals being created between attendees, supported by the network’s Ambassadors – each an expert in their field - covering planning & design, finance, law, project delivery and acquisitions and sales.
