Alison Seabeck, MP for Plymouth Moor View, was delighted to be able to wave off the first 21.35 First Great Western train service from London Paddington to Exeter this week.

This added service came after questions from Ms Seabeck in the first meeting that MPs had with Government officials, after the storms left the Dawlish line hanging by a thread and Plymouth without a rail link.

First Great Western have come up trumps and delivered a service which allows people, especially business people, to get to Plymouth and have a proper night’s sleep, before attending meetings and going about their normal work the following morning.   They are working to keep Plymouth and the Far South West ‘Open for Business’.

Alison Seabeck MP said: "We are often critical of the train company but they deserve credit for working with their passengers and responding to ideas which secure much needed journeys into the far south west."
