Santa set to arrive by RNLI lifeboat at Royal William Yard Christmas Wonderland Market

Royal William Yard’s historic Grade 1* Listed naval victualling buildings are to provide a magical backdrop to a range of exciting Christmas events and activities this year - including a unique appearance from Christmas’s most popular visitor - Santa!

Christmas Wonderland Market - starring Santa - Sunday, Dec 4, 10am til 6pm

Santa has revealed he will make an extra special appearance, at the Christmas Wonderland Market, when he arrives with the high tide by RNLI lifeboat around 5pm.

The Christmas Wonderland Market, will be packed to the brim with Christmas treats, including turkeys, mince pies, mulled wine -  and festive music and theatre. 

There’ll be a free Christmas children’s interactive show presented by Far Flung Dance Theatre, opera singers Amelia Whiteman and Annalise Gladstone will sing Christmas songs for families around the harbour, accompanied by electric violinist, Rebecca Kelly.

A lantern making workshop for kids will be held beforehand, followed by a dusk-time lantern parade with St George's Primary School around the Yard harbour basin.

There’ll also be sparkly stiltwalkers and some festive ‘theatre bombing’ from the Brantley Theatre company - all guaranteed to amaze and entertain the family.

The Yard restaurants will also be offering fantastic Christmas menus or drinks - with seasonal, local and wild treats from River Cottage Canteen & Deli, the popular French eaterie Bistrot Pierre, Wildwood - plus favourites like Seco Lounge, Prezzo, Las Iguanas, Wagamamas, The Royal William Yard Bakery, Le Vignoble and light snacks at Rockets and Rascals.
