Police investigate knifepoint robbery in Plymouth

Police in Plymouth are investigating a robbery at knifepoint which took place in the city over the weekend.

The incident took place in Furse Park Road, Barne Barton between 12.30 am and 12.45am on Sunday 7 July.

While making a takeaway delivery in the area a man was approached by three men and threatened with a knife. The takeaway food was stolen. The victim was driving a red Renault Megane before he stopped to make the delivery.

The suspect who brandished the knife and demanded the takeaway food from the driver is described as having a Liverpudlian accent.  All three suspects have been described as being in their late teens to early 20s and wore bandanas covering their faces, dark clothing and black bin bags on the top half of their bodies with holes cut out for the head and arms.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the three suspects or anything suspicious in the area at the time or shortly before the incident. Please call police on 101 with any information, reference ED/13/3964
