Police and Crime Commissioner meets Chief Constable to review performance

The performance of Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer and the Devon and Cornwall force is scrutinised in the first of a series of publicly viewable one-to-one meetings with Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Tony Hogg.

The PCC holds the Chief Constable to account for the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The PCC's office says that the correct mechanism to achieve this in a structured, comprehensive and transparent way is being developed, and part of this includes regular meetings that will be viewable by the public in full.

The first part of the June interview covers four main areas:

  • Successful delivery of the Police and Crime Plan
  • Public perception of policing
  • Communication with the public
  • Safeguarding vulnerable people

The 10-minute interview can be watched on the PCC website devonandcornwall-pcc.gov.uk, and via facebook (devonandcornwallpcc) or twitter (@DC_PCC)
