Native Makers are bringing some creative magic to the Yard with a festival filled with food, shopping and entertainment.

The festival will take place at Factory Cooperage at Royal William Yard on Saturday 16 July, between 10am and 6pm.

Rosie Drake Knight and Emily Dymond have been working on the festival since 2014.

Emily said: “We had a vision of a local marketplace for high quality products made by south west based craftspeople.

“We want to celebrate all of the creative magic the south west has to offer.”

They started because they felt there was nothing like this in the south west, they also offer a Native Nature scheme for new makers who have been trading for a year or less.

Under the new scheme new makers may be eligible for half price stalls.

Rosie said:” Our events are a chance for emerging designers to sell or promote their work.

We are constantly amazed by the support and encouragement from everyone and we’re so grateful for the support from Plymouth College of art, Plymouth culture and Urban Splash.”
