More than 70 roles on offer as Drake Circus hosts jobs fair

JD Sports, Next and Las Iguanas, along with other retailers and hospitality venues, will be taking part in a jobs fair at Drake Circus on Wednesday 2nd November.  

Offering over 70 full-time and part-time roles for Christmas and beyond, representatives from a range of retailers and hospitality venues across Drake Circus and The Barcode will be available on the day to provide further information and helpful advice for applicants.

Roles on offer range from management positions to store assistant roles, security and Christmas temps.

The jobs fair will be hosted in partnership with Plymouth Jobcentre in the centre’s atrium space near Starbucks, from 11am – 3pm.

Greg Lumley, centre director at Drake Circus, said: “Our jobs fair is a great opportunity to highlight the breadth of vacancies on offer over the busy Christmas trading period at Drake Circus and The Barcode.

“It’s great to be partnering with Plymouth job Centre and so many of our retailers to host this event for people in our community. We know it can be difficult finding and applying for a new job, so we want to support people as much as possible.

“Whatever new challenge you’re looking for – whether it’s a climb up the career ladder, complete role change or a step back into the jobs market – it will be a great opportunity to meet potential employers face-to-face, discuss roles and responsibilities in more detail and seek advice and support from the Plymouth Jobcentre team on the application process.”

Sally Ann Bowden, Work Coach at Plymouth Job Centre said: “Come along and speak to your local Job Centre team who are working with Drake Circus to find the right job for you.”

Drake Circus is open 9.00am–6.00pm Monday to Saturday, 9.00am-8.00pm on Thursday for late night shopping and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sunday.
