Last New Year, 2.6 million people in the UK decided to change their diet and exercise habits in a bid to shape up. Sadly, within two weeks however 92 percent had already ditched their resolution in favour of returning to their old ways.

This year, if health and fitness tops your New Years resolution list, why not set yourself the ultimate goal of completing Plymouth’s Half Marathon? Once you have that date cemented in your diary, the motivation of having something to work towards will ensure that this year you don’t become just another statistic!

Plymouth’s Half Marathon will be taking place on Plymouth’s Half Marathon, and is open to runners of all abilities; those hungry for a PB, to raise money for charity and those who just want to complete that New Year challenge and cross the finish line.

Whatever your reason for taking part, you can rest assure that this is one challenge you won’t be doing alone. As one of thousands of runners, the GO2 team ensures each and every participant has access to dedicated half marathon training plans, and all the required information to prepare you for race day, making it all the more enjoyable.

Plymouth’s Half Marathon is a much celebrated traffic-free road race, which takes in all that is great about Plymouth. Stunning coastal views, a charming harbour, the beautiful National Trust grounds of Saltram Park, as well as the iconic Plymouth Hoe where Sir Francis Drake once played bowls!
