Housebuilder supports Barnstaple Pride with £500 donation

To continue its support of Pride Month, which took place throughout June, housebuilder Allison Homes has donated £500 to Sunrise Diversity’s Pride event in Barnstaple in Devon, where its South West region is building homes across the county.

Sunrise Diversity is a grassroots community organisation, providing activities, training, services and events for people living in Northern Devon, including those of diverse identities such as minority ethnic groups, disabled people and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

In support of LGBTQ+ individuals in particular, Sunrise Diversity organises regular social groups and this year is hosting Barnstaple Pride on Saturday 29th July.

The first Pride March in Barnstaple was held in 2018 and has run every year since, including virtually during the pandemic.

Ana Gabriela Lodge, CEO of Sunrise Diversity, said: “We would like to thank Allison Homes for this wonderful donation. We are a small local charity with big goals to support our diverse communities, and without support from the community and companies like Allison Homes we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

“We can’t wait to host the Barnstaple LGBTQ+ Pride March for the third year, and hope to see lots of familiar and new faces there.”
