Visitors to The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth are in for a spooktacular treat this October half term with the Hide and Treat Halloween Hunt.

Hidden around the sanctuary are Halloween character ‘Neddies’, which people can discover following the clues on their trail sheet.

This fangtastic activity combines family fun, exercise and brainpower. Trail sheets cost £5 each and includes a treat on completion.

The character ‘Neddies’ are depictions of actual crocheted donkey figures, created by talented supporter Judith Crockford. Over the years Judith has created hundreds of individually themed ‘Neddies’, helping to raise funds for The Donkey Sanctuary.

The October half term is the perfect time to visit the Sidmouth sanctuary and get out and about with family and friends. Set in the heart of the East Devon countryside, there are daily talks, scenic walks, engaging exhibits, award-winning gardens and of course, hundreds of adorable donkeys to meet.

The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth is open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm. Entry to the sanctuary is free, as is parking, and dogs on leads are welcome.

The Hide and Treat Halloween Hunt runs until 31 October.
