Tickets go on sale on Sunday (March 1) for the biggest annual event in Devon.

The Devon County Show on May 21st, 22nd and 23rd will be packed with people, animals, competitions and entertainment.

Show Secretary, Ollie Allen said they were getting ready to serve up ‘a giant slice of Devon country life’.

“The Show offers so much for everyone to enjoy,” she said.

“There will be delicious local food, prize-winning animals, a fantastic array of West Country crafts and flowers and six Show rings packed with activity and entertainment.”

Among the highlights will be the freestyle motocross stunt team, The Bolddog Lings and a huge new interactive Farm Wise Devon feature especially for children where they can see where their food comes from as well as ‘have a go’ in a great Food Zone.

The Show is running a new advance sales tickets promotion this year offering the best price tickets in the next few weeks (March 1st to April 10th).   Prices will gradually rise ‘airline style’ towards the Show.

“It’s best you book early to save the most!” added Ollie.

Two children per adult go free on Saturday (May 23rd), the first day of half-term, making the Show family-friendly.

The County Show, which is 120 years old this year,  is the curtain raiser for the agricultural showing season in the South West as well as a great day out for all the family.

More than 95,000 visitors are expected to come into the showground for what promises to be an entertaining and informative day celebrating Devon food, farming and country life.
