A five-star Devon manor house hotel is serving up an adventurous course to its Sunday roasts this Easter that will end with families using clues to explore their 275-acre Dartmoor Estate.

Bovey Castle, part of the Eden Hotel Collection, is hosting an Easter discovery trail on Sunday, March 31 for those enjoying Easter Sunday Lunch within the Great Western 3AA Rosette Restaurant.

After a three-course Sunday roast, adults and children can embark on a journey to find hidden wooden creatures throughout the grounds – with those who complete the trail landing themselves a sweet treat.

The trail will also be available to hotel guests at the venue throughout the school Easter holidays.

Guests will warm up for the trail with a three-course meal, with starters ranging from lobster bisque with brandy & tarragon cream, to truffled goats cheese mousse with roasted beetroot and green apple.

Main course choices include slow roast sirloin of Devonshire beef with Yorkshire pudding or roast chicken & Alsace cabbage with sage & onion stuffing – both served with dripping roast potatoes – while desserts include milk chocolate tart with honeycomb ice cream to warm treacle tart with confit orange and clotted cream ice cream, or a selection of Chef’s sorbets & exotic fruits, lime syrup are also available.
