Paula Sutton has presented more than eight bags of toys to our children’s wards at Derriford Hospital. After launching an online campaign only two weeks ago to encourage friends, family and other parents to donate unwanted items, Paula received a fantastic response and managed to collect eight bin bags full of toys for children of all ages.

Paula said: “There has been such an amazing response from people online, I really wasn’t expecting it. I only started the campaign a few weeks ago and only thought I would be able to collect a few boxes, but the level of response really has been fantastic.

“I would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported the campaign and donated, everyone has been so kind. I am so pleased that these unwanted toys will now be put to great use.”

Anita Dykes, Matron for Paediatrics, said: “We are always extremely grateful for donations to level 12 and I would like to thank Paula and everyone who has supported the campaign and donated new and used toys through this appeal. “Generous donations such as this one enable us to offer a good variety of toys and we are all really thankful for them.”
