Plymouth detectives are trying to trace the owners of suspected stolen beach equipment recovered as part of a burglary investigation.

The beach mats, tent, umbrella and windbreak, plus badminton rackets and a plastic crate containing car cleaning equipment were all found as part of the enquiry into a break-in at a Plymstock shop.

Offenders gained entry to the One Stop convenience store in Radford Park Road in the early hours of 30 August and escaped with two baskets of tobacco and cigarettes.

During the investigation detectives recovered a vehicle containing various items of property, some of which has been identified, as well as the beach gear.

Now police are keen to identify the items and asking anyone who is missing such beach gear to contact them on 101, quoting crime reference CR/102495/14.

Two men from Plymouth, aged 42 and 44, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on bail until 11 November 2014.
