Appeal following unprovoked assault

Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses following an assault in the City.

The incident occurred at around 1.00am on Sunday 20th September between Revolutions and the Casino at Derry’s Cross in Plymouth.

The victim, a man, aged in his 20’s was sat on the wall outside the Grosvenor when the offender walked across the zebra crossing from Revolutions and punched him once to the face knocking him to the ground in an unprovoked attack.

The offender then ran off towards the Travelodge.

The victim sustained both a broken nose and fractured wrist.

The offender is described as being a white man aged approximately 18-20 years, approximately 5’8” in height, medium build with light coloured hair wearing a blue and white polo shirt and blue jeans.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information regarding it to contact them on 101 or 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/065736/15 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
