£3,000 worth of belongings stolen from family car

Police are investigating the theft of more than £3,000 worth of belongings from a family car at a Plymouth hotel on Saturday [30 July].

The family had checked out of The Imperial hotel in Lockyer Street and packed their luggage in the car.

The black Ford Kia was entered by thieves after it was left unattended in the car park between 10.30am and 2.40pm.

The offenders made off with a large number of items which were packed in three holdalls in the boot.

Stolen items included an Apple MacBook Air valued at £800, a £450 Apple iPad 2, an £800 Apple MacBook, passports, and £800 worth of Euros and foreign currency.

Also missing is a precious purple-coloured Fujitsu hard drive which contained all of the family’s photos for the last few years.

Police are investigating the theft and appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or individuals in the hotel car park between the relevant times.
