Things are looking even tastier at the city’s award-winning museum, art gallery and archive thanks to a new partnership with a popular local bakery.

The Box has joined forces with Rise Bakery meaning visitors to The Little Box café on Tavistock Place can now pick up a delicious malted sourdough loaf or iced cronut after enjoying the latest exhibitions.

The partnership makes The Little Box the only city centre outlet for Rise’s artisan bread and pastries, including their signature cronuts; an ingenious cross between a croissant and a doughnut.

Rise’s Director Lloyd Inwood said: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to connect with such a prestigious venue. We started Rise two years ago, just after The Box opened and now bake more bread than any other bakery in the city. We’re as passionate about bread as The Box is about art. We make great partners.”

The Little Box, which is open from 9.30am-3pm Tuesday to Sunday, will also sell sandwiches made with Rise bread, plus a selection of additional snacks and drinks.

Chris Walter, Head of Operations at The Box’s catering partner Fosters said: “We’ve used Rise’s delicious bread in The Box Kitchen & Bar for some time now, so it’s great to be able to extend this partnership to The Little Box. We’re pleased to support such a great local business and are sure our visitors are going to love Rise’s products.”
