Buckland Abbey, Garden and Estate near Yelverton is hosting its popular Christmas craft and food fair between 10.30am and 4.30pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November.

Taking place in the Abbey’s Great Barn and Small Barn, the fair will include 40 stalls of the finest crafts, food and drink from around the West Country. Over the weekend there is also festive entertainment from the Lipson College Big Band outside the Great Barn. Entry is £1, including National Trust members.

Artisan food and craft stalls have become a permanent feature of the fair in recent years, and this year there are many newcomers joining stallholders invited back by popular demand. Visitors to the fair can  include Little Bakehouse at Downgate, the Buckland Food Growers, Countryman Cider, Sara Rose Textiles, Nature Makes, Wessex Pantry and many more featuring ceramics, photography, jewellery, woodwork and glass.

Richard Burrow, Visitor Experience Officer at Buckland Abbey says: “Our Christmas craft and food fair is always a great weekend filled with lots of food producers and craftspeople from across the region. It is an excellent opportunity to find unique Christmas gifts for friends or family in a relaxed and festive atmosphere whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.”

Buckland Abbey’s Shop and Restaurant will also be open over the weekend, packed with gifts and sweet treats for everyone.

Buckland Abbey, Garden and Estate is now open from 11.30am to 4.30pm Friday to Sunday during November and daily from 5 to 21 December.
