The Starlight Children's Foundation brought a big dose of sunshine to poorly children at Derriford Hospital today (Wednesday 6 May), when its amazing Storytellers Tour paid a visit.

The interactive theatre group, The Panto Company, treated children, relatives and staff to performances of Beauty and The Beast, The Jungle Book and The Wizard of Oz, as part of an eight week long Starlight Storytellers Tour, which will visit 96 children’s wards across the country.

The tour has been funded by Heinz’s ‘Get Well’ Soup campaign, which ran in January and February this year. The campaign asked the public to purchase personalised cans of ‘Get Well’ Soup for loved ones feeling under the weather.

Sam Cartwright, Play Specialist said: “We are very grateful and would like to thank Starlight’s Storytellers Tour for providing a fantastic opportunity for the children staying with us to forget their illness for a short while and have some fun.”

Ryan Vernel, Tour Manager said: “We are thrilled to be able to come along to Derriford Hospital and perform. We love being able to entertain and distract the children and put smiles on many faces.”
