For decades, heating devices performed only one function - maintaining the temperature microclimate in the room. But over time, owners of homes, offices and administrations of commercial establishments began to come to the conclusion that these devices are capable of more. For example, decorate the interior with yourself.

Therefore, more and more attention began to be paid to designer Terma radiators, which are presented  in all sorts of shapes, color shades and a choice of performance characteristics.

Why choose a designer heating radiator

Nowadays, the presence of stylish radiator designs in a room in itself is not something surprising. But the design of such batteries can often amaze even the most boundless imagination.

Such devices combine all practicality, style, aesthetics and safety of operation. The peculiarity of the production of such modifications is that they are usually made in single copies and do not go into mass production.

Thanks to this, craftsmen can pay more attention to each specimen, process materials more carefully and give it an unusual shape. At the same time, such devices undergo more rigorous production testing, which ensures their longer service life.

What is it about decorative batteries that attracts their owners so much? There are several criteria by which preference is given when choosing such devices:

  • designer models can replace expensive finishing materials, filling the interior with a feeling of comfort, coziness and style;
  • the decorative finishing of such batteries ensures that they elegantly and harmoniously fit into the overall style concept in any interior design;
  • unusual shapes and non-standard colors allow you to achieve visual zoning of the area in a room, dividing it into functional areas - and this is especially useful in small rooms where installing partitions or additional furniture is inappropriate;
  • they allow you to save space due to the absence of bulky interior elements, successfully replacing them and at the same time performing their main functional task - heating.

At the same time, thanks to individual engineering solutions, such devices are not without decent technical characteristics. They are ideally adapted to the unfavorable operating conditions of domestic heating communications, withstand unsatisfactory coolant characteristics and are able to evenly heat a room made of any materials. The main operational advantages of designer radiators are:

  • reinforced design, with the ability to resist mechanical stress;
  • resistance to dynamic and static loads, as well as tensile pressure up to 60 atmospheres;
  • resistance to pressure testing up to 1.6 MPa, which allows their use in outdated central heating systems;
  • heat resistance of the material, which can withstand critical heating of the coolant up to +150 degrees without deformation or microcracks;
  • anti-corrosion and anti-acid resistance of the housing, heat exchanger and collector.

The design of such heating devices is developed in such a way that the joints and mounting connections are not visually noticeable, which creates the impression of the integrity of the body. At the same time, such radiators have one hundred percent reliability of fastening, regardless of its type - with side, bottom, top, diagonal mounting method.

Varieties of design models

Like classic models, designer radiators for heating systems can be made with a panel, tubular, or sectional design. Their main difference lies in the following features:

  • non-standard choice of material;
  • non-trivial geometric configuration.

However, a special highlight of such devices may be painting in multi-colored tones using modern technologies of anodic or cathodic immersion, galvanic nickel plating or powder coating.

Particularly extravagant are batteries made from the following materials:

  • Copper is a corrosion-resistant metal that is often styled as retro and antique products. Has high thermal conductivity, resistance to oxidation processes and deformation;
  • natural stone - this material allows you to create entire architectural and interior compositions from heating radiators. At the same time, the stone is able to produce heat at low room temperatures without releasing toxic components;
  • glass – usually a tempered modification of glass with heat-resistant properties and increased strength properties is used. Typically, structures are created from double-layer glass, in which the first layer acts as a heat storage device, and the second as a decorative coating;
  • wood – usually durable wood species are used (beech, oak, cedar, acacia and others). Such wooden appliances look especially elegant in private log houses or in antique-style apartments;
  • Precious metals - silver and gold - are usually used only for the decorative design of radiators. They can be based on cast iron, aluminum alloy with silicon, stainless steel or brass.

The shape of designer heating radiators can be made in the form of benches, benches with a back, in the form of multi-tiered structures, plates, spirals. Some of them imitate hangers, flower stands, and drying racks.

How to choose the right designer heating radiators

Actually, the choice itself depends on the design preferences of the buyer. The described features of decorative batteries can serve as key selection criteria. At the same time, it is recommended to pay attention to the above technical characteristics, taking into account the size of the heated area, the number of door and window openings, the height of the ceilings, the number of necessary appliances and, of course, the cost of such designer heating radiators.
