Papa John’s brand new Plymouth store will be giving away 200 of its finest pizzas for free on Saturday 3 August to officially mark its opening celebrations.

Owner Jo Boland opened the doors to the brand new Papa John’s store last week and, pleased with its initial success, has decided to give the pizza fans of Plymouth a party to remember on Saturday and is urging those who haven’t yet experienced a Papa John’s pizza to join them.

But not only set on sharing the love with their new and existing customers, the store will also use the opportunity to raise money for the ‘Hugs for Henry’ charity appeal. The appeal, which is in association with Families Against Neuroblastoma (FAN), is looking to raise £500,000 in order to send three year old Henry Hallam to America for lifesaving treatment.

Jo commented: “Not only did we want to mark the occasion of opening the new store, we wanted to use the opportunity to help little Henry, whose plight has touched the hearts of many in the local area. Having a son a similar age, I am particularly keen to help in any way I can and thought our big pizza party was a perfect chance to raise some money for Henry.”

Customers attending the celebratory event can make donations in store and also enter a competition to scoop themselves the chance to win a free iPad or pizza for a year, as well as the 200 pizza giveaway for the first customers through the doors of the store, which is located in Mutley Plain.

The pizza give-away will start from 12 noon when former Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Mike Wright, will cut the ribbon, declare the store officially open and the pizza feast will begin.

Jo continued: “We are really excited to have opened this new store in Plymouth and are delighted that we have proven to be so popular since opening last week. It’s a wonderful site to be located in and one we think many Mutley Plain residents will make use of if our initial success is anything to go by.

“This official event and pizza give-away is a way for us to say thank you to those who have already experienced our ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’ philosophy, which has made us famous aross the world. But, is also an opportunity for us raise mucrch needed funds for Henry from the pizza fans of Plymouth.”

The store’s iPad and pizza for a year competition will be open to customers who attend the official opening on Saturday and entries must being made in-store on the day. The winner will be picked at random and will be contacted week commencing August 19 2013.
