Hub RWY Plymouth was officially launched yesterday (June 28) at an unforgettable event for all who attended.

From the first taste to the last guests were treated to incredible flavours, inspired by the coast and Hub’s amazing local suppliers. With Aldo Vanucci’s laid back tunes setting the stage, this was a memorable evening filled with great food, delicious drinks, soulful sounds and stunning views.

Previously known as Hub Box Plymouth, Hub RWY Plymouth joins Hub St Ives as the second of its restaurants to trade as Hub, with its Falmouth site to follow shortly.

Hub’s Founder Richard Boon said: “We’ve been absolutely blown away by the success of the evening. It’s been incredible with a great cross section of people attending. We wanted to let people understand more about what we offer here and about the quality of our food. Its high welfare, locally sourced and affordable. What has been really good is that there is a sense of trust that although we are doing the food here a little differently, it is still just as good.”

The rebranded restaurant brings a fresh offering to Plymouth’s eating scene. The new menu has been crafted to showcase locally sourced seafood and meat, cooked to perfection on the chargrill and paying homage to the timeless allure of seaside classics like fish and chips, surf and turf, and the fish burger, reinvented as Sole In A Roll.

While a strong nod to seafood is an exciting addition to the menu, beloved favourites have stayed, including Hub’s signature burgers like the iconic Big Kahuna, the Betsy and the Hub.

Every dish is a celebration of the incredible produce sourced from South West suppliers, ensuring the freshest ingredients and a taste of the West Country. Among them are Philip Warren Butchers in Launceston, Matthews Stevens Cornish Fish in St Ives, Colwith Farm at Lostwithiel, Treleavens Luxury Cornish Ice Cream, Sharp’s Brewery, Wadebridge, and Penryn’s Verdant Brewing Co.

Richard said: “We are all about making really good food accessible. It’s fresh and all locally sourced which has been great to showcase at this event. We’re also blessed with the fact that we have this really great building at Royal William Yard for people to come and enjoy.”

While Hub RWY Plymouth’s inside space is warm, welcoming, spacious and appreciative of its maritime links, al fresco dining is something Hub knows how to do really well. The outside terrace invites you to kick back, unwind, and take in the views of the Royal William Yard Marina and beyond. It’s a stunning space to sip on a refreshing sundowner or enjoy a long, leisurely breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as late night cocktails, vinyl music and DJs on the weekends. On windy days, the sunny inner courtyard offers a secret breakfast spot, ideal for warming up after a cold water swim at Devil’s Point.

Hub RWY Plymouth certainly knows how to embrace the art of relaxed dining where you can stay all day and night, just enjoying the moment.

Hub RWY Plymouth is open every day, Sunday to Thursday from 9.30am - 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 9.30 - 12am.
