Devon Restaurant Month in full swing

Devon Restaurant Month is now in full swing. Participating restaurants, pubs and cafés have already reported an increase in bookings as both Devon locals and visitors to the county take advantage of the month long range of promotions and offers. For full details of all taking part go to www.devonrestaurantmonth.co.uk.

Sponsored by Luscombe Drinks, Buckleigh Laundry, Favis of Salcombe, PVM Supplies and Voyager Coffee, this creative initiative entices those living nearby and from further afield to experience the incredible variety of both Devon produce and cooking at really great prices. There are one-off specials, seasonal lunches, dinners and tasting menus on offer as well as afternoon treats.

Devonians can even stay a night for free at The Royal Castle Hotel, Dartmouth and The Royal Seven Stars, Totnes if sampling the Devon Taster menu.

Here’s a flavour of what’s happening during the month of June in this food loving county... the renowned Cary Arms in Babbacombe Beach is offering a fabulous seafood mezze for two; the ever popular NoBody Inn is running summer pies and pudding nights; and the exquisite Moorland Garden Hotel in Yelverton is hiding luxury picnic hampers in their wildflower meadow for guests to locate.

Other Devon venues involved include River Cottage, The Arundell Arms, Boringdon Hall Hotel, Dolphin House Brazzerie, Rendezvous Wine Bar, Terra Madre and Lewtrenchard Manor as well as many more.

Jeff Cooper, founder of Devon Restaurant Month, says: “We’ve been astounded by the response received by those involved at the various eateries, who have been really creative with their different approaches, and the number of bookings this is generating for Devon businesses.” Jeff continues: “It’s not too late to make the most of these great offers. Sample some of Devon at its best during this sunny month. With the sun out, there’s nothing better than dining either inside or out in this bountiful county.”
