Adventure Segway comes to Mount Edgcumbe
Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park is about to welcome a brand new venture. Adventure Segway launches at the popular visitor attraction on 1 May, and will be a daily fixture at Mount Edgcumbe.
Adventurers will be invited to join the all new experience that’s as big as the park itself, aboard an all-terrain Segway on which you will be able to navigate a selection of fun features across the beautiful landscape around the country park.
Adventure Segway say: "Segway is the world’s leader of emission free personal electric balancing transportation that has transformed how people play. Our transporters have been designed specifically for outdoor all-weather adventures with higher ground clearance and chunky turf tires. Visitors receive full training in our private practice makes perfect area which is designed to ensure all adventurers can control the Segway. Visitors then head out with an instructor to explore the park on an exciting journey. Adventure Segway is a 75 minute experience."
Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park is jointly owned and managed by Plymouth City Council and Cornwall Council. It attracts more than 300,000 visitors per year.
The Park and Gardens are open 7 days a week and the House is open Sunday to Thursday 11am to 4.30pm, 31st March to 25th September 2013.
Adventure Segway is a new permanent addition to the facilities offered at Mount Edgcumbe. Adventure Segway is open most days through 8 December 2013.

For safety they can only accommodate guests that are 10 years of age or older and at least 7 stone in weight but no more than 18½ stone. Participants must be accompanied by a supervising participating adult (18+) if you are under 16.
