A winter wonderland of entertainment and activities await visitors to Mount Edgcumbe’s 10th annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December.

From the past to the future, they have something to delight all tastes. The Victorian Magic Lantern Show will whisk you back in time and mesmerise you with its beauty. Or, if you have more of a passion for sci-fi, then see if you are brave enough for a face-to-face meeting with a Dalek. Don’t worry – The Doctor will be on hand to protect you!

There’s a host of fantastic activities in the Barrow Centre’s Family Activity Zone, including willow weaving, cookie decorating and face painting. If little ones have any last-minute gift requests, there’s a post box they can use to send a letter straight to Santa or they can visit him in his grotto from 11am on both days.

There will also be entertainment in the courtyard, courtesy of children from the Italia Conti School of Theatre Arts and a salty visit from the Flash Jack Sea Shanty Singers.

In the house you can listen to some beautiful music from many choirs, including Torpoint Ladies, Reflections, Looe Valley Singers and the Kessenyan Singers, not to mention the fantastic young singers from Fourlanesend and Millbrook Schools.

With so much to see and do, how will you manage to fit it all in? For more information contact Mount Edgcumbe on 01752 822236 or email mt.edgcumbe@plymouth.gov.uk.
