The Old Clay Factory at Redlake (between Ivybridge and Bittaford) will host its first ever Vintage, Antiques, Crafts and Collectors Fair on Sunday 12th June, which was unfortunately cancelled from 8 May due to unforeseen circumstances.

This historical building sits between Bittaford and Ivybridge and is seen as a hub for all communities within a radius comprising the South Hams and Plymouth.  The former clay building, with its distinctive chimney stack has different event spaces for anywhere between 15 and 100 exhibitors or traders.

The event is being promoted throughout the South West as far as Gloucestershire and it is hoped that the Fair could become the largest in the South West, with plenty of space for parking and free entrance to visitors, it will certainly be the place to go if you are looking for the missing item in the collection!

Enquiries are welcome from anyone interested in the event ranging from stamp collectors and model toy collectors to comic collectors and MacDonald’s toy collectors which will run from 10am to 4pm and just a stone’s throw from Dartmoor or 5 minutes from Endsleigh Garden Centre it is a great destination for a great day out! “We have spent hours contacting many different groups to encourage them to attend this venue which just lends itself to collectors and craft exhibitions and we just wanted to expand it to cover vintage products, shabby chic and antiques.  With enough interest from vendors we will have several very different areas for visitors to browse and would like to think this could be a regular event” Annette Laurie, LEAP Events organiser said.

In addition, food retailers offering something different, something veggie and local are also at Redlake for the day to keep everyone refreshed!

The building is run by Eddystone Trust and throughout the year will be hosting many different types of events both for the community and a wider field – both public and corporate.  Redlake Estate is on the main road out of Ivybridge and before Bittaford and will form a hub for those two areas as well as Totnes, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot, Ashburton, Tavistock, South Brent, Exeter and the Riviera.

Annette Laurie of LEAP (Laurie Events & Projects) said “I am delighted to be able to continue to work with the Eddystone Trust, bringing a range of different themes and interests to all members of the South Hams and beyond.  Redlake is truly the hub which has the space for these events to happen.
