Plymouth Seafood Festival 2013
Friday to Sunday, The Barbican

Showcasing the fantastic quality seafood available in Plymouth, local and celebrity chefs will demonstrate a range of mouthwatering dishes using catch fresh off the boats.

Wild About Plymouth - Discover the Laboratory on the Hoe
Saturday 10am – 12pm, Citadel Hill Laboratory

Experts from the MBA and SAHFOS will give family-friendly talks and there will be a chance to view objects relating to marine science and learn something new about one of the world’s oldest functioning marine laboratories.
Admission is just £2 per adult and £1 per child (three to 16 years). Under-threes go free. Places are limited and must be booked in advance through Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery’s Welcome Desk.

Edward Waite Live Studio
Saturday to Wednesday, Royal William Yard

Royal William Yard is hosting an opportunity to watch professional artist Edward Waite at work in a live studio event.
In a unique event Waite will be taking part in a ‘Live Studio’ where you can personally meet the artist and see him create large scale partings of urban landscapes.
The Live Studio will take place between 10:30am-1pm and 2pm-4:30pm on 21 -25 September.

St Luke's Swimathon
Saturday 6pm-11pm, Plymouth Life Centre

Come and give your support to sponsored swimmers raising money for St. Luke’s Hospice.
The Swimathon event opens at 6.30pm at the Plymouth Life Centre. The swim will consist of three distances to choose from; 1km and 2km for individuals or the ultimate 5km as a team only.
There will be food and refreshments available to purchase at the venue. Spectators are welcome, wristbands will be given to enter the viewing area.
