Family Fun Day at Theatre Royal Plymouth

On Friday 28 October, Theatre Royal Plymouth is giving people a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the Theatre.

As well as guided on-stage and backstage tours, there will be a chance to see how sets are designed and built, whilst also having the opportunity to see demonstrations of how the lighting and sound works within with Theatre.

Visitors will have the rare opportunity to try on various costumes that have been made and maintained by Theatre Royal Plymouth and will have the chance to learn how to apply special effect make-up!

There will be various workshops for the whole family to take part in throughout the day including puppet making, storytelling, dance workshops with world renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet – just sign up on the day. The Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Young Company and Funky Llama artists will also be performing throughout the building.

The open day will run between 10.30am – 3pm with free entry and activities. The Theatre’s café, restaurant and bars will be open selling delicious food and drink throughout the day.
