Determined Argyle take 3 points to move off bottom spot

A goal either side of half time clinched 3 crucial points for embattled Plymouth Argyle against a Barnet side who, despite being fellow relegation candidates, arrived at Home Park on the back of some excellent recent form.

A strong, determined performance from the Pilgrims with a changed 4-3-3 formation formed the basis for a victory that takes them off the bottom of League 2 on goal difference.  Argyle began the stronger of the 2 teams but went behind to a Jake Hyde goal for Edgar Davids' side after 21 minutes and against the run of play. A brilliant strike from midfielder Conor Hourihane levelled things 15 minutes later and striker Ronan Murray gave John Sheridan's side the lead 3 minutes after the break. Thereafter, Argyle largely controlled the game to ensure a hard fought victory which should inspire some confidence for the games ahead.
