Since joining the Chamber Daniel has completed an NVQ level 2 and 3 with GP Skills academy and is now working on an IT level 3 qualification with Plymouth based Achievement Training.

Talking of his experience and Plymouth Chamber Daniel said: “When the opportunity to join the Chamber as an apprentice came up, I knew I had to give it my all and do my best to get the apprenticeship, as it would provide me with a great wealth of experience that I yearned for. Fortunately I was able to join the Chamber and I can say without a shadow of a doubt it’s been one of the greatest things to have ever happened to me. Thanks to working at the Chamber I have been able to expand my knowledge of business, develop a wide variety of skills and given me the confidence to believe in myself.”

Charley Michael, the Chamber’s Accounts and International Trade Assistant has just successfully completed her NVQ level 3 qualification with A+ Training as part of her apprenticeship. Having achieved both her NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifications in Business and Admin, the Chamber is celebrating Charley’s success.

Charley said: “I was excited to be interviewed and taken on by such a reputable company who takes development and training so seriously. During my time with the Chamber I have had the opportunity to improve my skills and confidence. I have been just as impressed with the tutoring I have received through A+ Training. I look forward to spending more of my future career here at the Chamber.”

The third apprentice to join the Chamber team, Chris has been appointed as Administration Assistant and is already working towards an NVQ level 2 in Business Administration with City College Plymouth.

Speaking of his appointment, Chris said: “Plymouth Chamber is a great place to work and my first couple of weeks settling into my new apprenticeship couldn’t have gone any better! Starting my job here gives me the opportunity to settle into the world of business and I feel there is a lot of support here for me to learn many aspects of how a business runs.”
