Plymouth based e-commerce company ICO3 have doubled their recruitment target of new retail partners from six to 12 in the next three months following substantial growth of their existing partners this summer; among them Simply Cornish Hampers of Redruth, Catherine Best Jewellery of Guernsey and Austen Knapman Steel of Paignton. They plan to launch the new partners by Christmas 2013 bringing their total number up to 50 - a target the company set only 12 months ago. The expansion also brings seven new jobs to Plymouth, partly funded by a recent PWGF grant award.

ICO3, who currently have over 40 e-commerce partners based within the South West and throughout the UK, are actively seeking new partnerships and are particularly keen to support those retailers who are looking to expand their high street retail shop with sustainable sales on their own website, Ebay store and Amazon store.

ICO3 spend up to £10,000 on new partnerships in order to create very profitable and successful online businesses from whom they then get a return on investment through commission sales. ICO3 then receive a sustainable and long term income stream while the partner receives services such as website design, creative marketing, PR and business support they would not normally receive.

ICO3 was originally a University of Plymouth ‘Spin Out’, and established as an internet development and design company in 2000. Since the initial start-up, ICO3 has grown significantly and in 2008 became an all-encompassing E Commerce service.

The company forecasts that by the end of 2013, it will have reached over 50 e-commerce partnerships, covering numerous market sectors. ICO3’s CEO David Gadd said of the expansion: "We are currently one of the fastest growing Internet Companies in the South West having recruited 15 employees in just 12 months.

"We are riding on the very strong waves of e-commerce growth with not only the UK market at our fingertips, but through our own integration tools we can also help our partners reach Europe, the USA and even Australia. The South West has some great entrepreneurs and some great products and with our help we can get these leading lights online quickly, effectively and profitably."

ICO3 would like to hear from potential new business partners who are seeking to grow their existing online business as well as those who would like to take their first steps into the world of e-commerce. Becoming a partner with ICO3 has the potential for business sales to increase at least to £24,000 a month. ICO3 are also interested in broadening their client market and would also welcome interest from interior design companies, women’s wear and health care companies.
