Police appeal after pedestrian hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision between a pedestrian and a Fiat Punto on Saturday 13 May 2017.

Emergency services were notified at around 1.10pm to reports of the collision opposite The Pheasant Pluckers pub on Albert Road, Plymouth.

As a result of the collision, the pedestrian, a 45-year-old woman from Plymouth, received serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

Police closed the road for seven hours while a specialist forensic examination of the scene was carried out.

Officers from the Plymouth Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area prior or during the time of the incident.
