Some of the places National Trust look after in and around Plymouth, Tavistock and Saltash have put on a programme of festive craft and food fairs for the month of November to help locals get ready for the festive season. The historical houses will be the backdrop for a series of events that will showcase some of the best local food, drink, arts and crafts.

Cotehele’s winter craft fair
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November, 11am-4pm
The fair features contemporary art and craft makers exhibiting and selling a selection of handmade and affordable gifts. The gardeners will be building the annual Christmas flower garland in the Great Hall and you're welcome to watch them at work. Admission to the fair is free, with an additional charge if you would also like to visit the Great Hall, garland and garden. National Trust members and under 5’s are free.

Buckland Abbey’s craft and food fair
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November, 10am-4.30pm
With a free park and ride for all, Buckland’s fair will host around 50 stalls from glass jewellery to homemade fudge; there are plenty of local delights including festive music, as well as hot food and warming drinks. National Trust members and under 5’s are free.  Admission to the fair for payers is £3, with an additional charge if you would also like to visit the Abbey and the Andrew Logan exhibition.

Saltram Christmas Festival, craft and food fair
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November, 10am-4pm
The Christmas Festival a Saltram is a chance to feel Christmassy as the garden transforms into a festive craft and food fair. Then there’s the chance to explore the enchanted house, magically decorated for Christmas. National Trust members and under 5’s are free.  Normal admission applies.

All visits to the National Trust Christmas craft fairs contribute to the income and the care of these historically significant sites, as well as the ongoing management of the surrounding countryside and access.
