Man dies after collision in Plymouth

A man has died after a collision which took place last month in Plymouth.

On Sunday 31st July, at around 9.20am a pedestrian was in collision with a blue Honda motorcycle in Budshead Road near Whitleigh Court.

The pedestrian, a man aged 57 from Plymouth, was seriously injured and taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday 10th August the man died as a result of his injuries.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 19 year old man from Plymouth, was also injured and taken to Derriford Hospital with arm and facial injuries.

The road was closed while investigations took place at the scene and reopened around 1.45pm.

An investigation is being run by the force’s serious collisions unit and police are keen to hear from any witnesses.
