Oltco, the UK’s leading sustainable resin driveway company has just launched in Plymouth and is run by businessman, Ben Ure. Oltco will be delivering premium resin driveway solutions, including its innovative product, Recycle Bound, across Plymouth and the surrounding villages including Yelverton, Gunnislake, Lifton, Princetown and Ivybridge.

Recycle Bound is the world’s first recycled driveway solution which helps to combat the global issue of plastic waste. Made utilising waste plastic (straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 50 square metre drive, the equivalent of 150,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process. Nine months since the launch of Recycle Bound in January 2019, Oltco has already used the equivalent of over 21 million plastic straws in driveways, paths and patios across the UK and this number continues to grow every week.

Oltco is renowned for its Recycle Bound solution, specialist expertise, premium products, quality installation, proven track record and outstanding customer service. With a passion for innovation and a desire to offer superior products, Oltco is dedicated to delivering unique solutions which are tailored for specific client requirements.

From driveways, pathways, pool surrounds and balconies, to carparks and other outside spaces, Oltco Plymouth provides a top quality solution to all of its clients.
With experience working on domestic, heritage and commercial properties as a carpenter, Ben has an eye for detail and is an expert when it comes to transforming properties. Not only this, Ben’s experience also provides him with the hands-on approach, and skills required, to deliver Oltco’s premium products for customers.

After undergoing extensive training at Oltco’s HQ in Newquay, Ben and his expert team pride themselves on delivering outstanding results, and the best customer service too.

Ben says: ”After a successful carpentry career spanning nearly two decades, I decided it was time for a new challenge and when I heard about Oltco, I instantly knew it was a business I wanted to be a part of. As a carpenter with my own business, I took pride in ensuring a high standard of work and excellent customer service. Oltco’s ethos to feel good about the work they do and the decisions they make is totally in line with my own so when the opportunity to launch Oltco here in Plymouth came up, I knew this was an opportunity I could not miss.

Not only am I really excited about being part of, and growing, this innovative business, I also aim to set up an apprenticeship scheme for Oltco Plymouth in the future.”

Johnny Pearce, Co-Director at Oltco, comments: “People say that you make a decision about someone in the first five seconds of meeting them – we made ours about Ben in just two seconds. Anyone who has the pleasure of meeting him will completely understand where we are coming from.

Ben has an aura of kindness and calmness. He has a really calm approach to life and business and this, coupled with his career as a carpenter, and his passion for producing excellence meant he was a natural fit for Oltco.”

Tom Stringer, Co-Director at Oltco, adds: “Ben shares our ethos to feel good about the work we do and the decisions we make as well as our values led approach, something that has played an integral part in the success of Oltco across Cornwall, and that we know will be the same in Plymouth.

We are completely over the moon that Ben is now part of the Oltco family and we can’t wait to watch Oltco Plymouth go from strength to strength with Ben leading the way.”
