DEBI Awards 2015 open for entries

The Devon Environmental Business Initiative (DEBI) Awards is open for entries.

The DEBI Awards, which have been running for over two decades, recognise businesses and other organisations across the county that are attaining high standards of environmental care in their day-to-day operations.

After a successful focus on environmental degradation in 2014, this year’s theme will be ‘Celebrate Devon’.

Peter Morgan, DEBI Chairman said: “There is much to celebrate in Devon when it comes to the environment ‒ whether the beauty of the moors, coastline and countryside or the innovation and environmental best practice of those who live and work here.
“DEBI is proud to encourage and support a wide range of businesses and organisations that not only benefit from the beautiful environment Devon offers, but thrive as a result.”

This year the categories include:

• Environmental Education
• Made in Devon
• Enjoyed in Devon
• Sustainable Ethos
• Environmental Champion
• DEBI 2015 Member Award

Through backing and sponsorship from supporters including the Met Office Exeter, the awards ceremony in November remains free to attend, not just for finalists but also members, supporters and category entrants. This encourages recognition of the efforts of co-operatives, community projects and environmental education as well as large businesses and SMEs.

The deadline for applications is Friday 25th September 2015 by 5:00pm. To enter, visit www.debi-online.org.uk or email info@debi-online.org.uk for more information. Shortlisted entries will be visited by our panel of judges.
