Salcombe Dairy has won one of its biggest retail contracts yet, supplying three of their award winning ice cream flavours - Stem Ginger, Honeycomb and Madagascan Vanilla - to 36 Co-op stores across Devon. These award-winning ice creams are now available in store ready to be enjoyed throughout the busy summer holidays.

Speaking on the recent contract, Dan Bly, managing director of Salcombe Dairy, says: “We’re so thrilled to be stocking Devon’s Co-ops. They are proud advocates of local produce and we are so happy to be chosen as one of the champion products for this region.”

The Co-op has predicted to sell over 10,000 tubs of Salcombe Dairy ice cream this summer alone. Each of the flavours with be available in 500ml tubs.

2016 so far has been an incredibly successful year for Salcombe Dairy. They have launched the first of their new retro flavours range, Raspberry Ripple, which has been recognised as a Gold Award winner at the Taste of the West Awards. Adding to this, their Salted Caramel ice cream has been awarded both a Gold Taste of the West Award, and has just been given a one star award at the 2016 Great Taste Awards. Their deliciously indulgent Banoffee ice cream was also recently awarded a Silver at the Taste of the West Awards.

In late June, Salcombe Dairy opened their first ice cream parlour on Dartmouth’s Quay. As well as serving their range of ice creams, sorbets and frozen yoghurts, they will also sell a selection of sundaes, freshly ground barista coffee and Tregothnan Tea. In addition, they have taken residency in Stokeleigh Farm Shop, Stokenham, throughout the summer.

Salcombe Dairy, established in 1981, uses only the finest ingredients and sources local products where possible. Making ice cream, sorbets and frozen yoghurt, all of their products are free from gluten, egg, artificial colours and flavourings; they also have a vegan suitable sorbet range, including a decadent chocolate sorbet.
