The team at River Cottage are celebrating a successful month after scooping up a staggering four awards in February, with the icing on the cake being the award for Best Cookery School as voted for by Food Reader Magazine readers.

The canteens at Plymouth and Bristol also picked up awards, achieving a Gold Award in the South West Tourism Awards, Taste of the South West category as well as Taste of Bristol Award respectively.

River Cottage also won the SRA (Sustainable Restaurant Association) Award for Sourcing, something which is key to their ethos at both their HQ and canteens.

Rob Love, Managing Director of River Cottage said of the achievements: “I’m delighted that River Cottage is being celebrated across the board. We strive to promote sustainability and good local produce at both our HQ and canteens, and it’s great that we are being awarded for this.”

Remarking on the success of their HQ based cookery school, he also added: “This is a particular highlight for all of us, being the first award for our fantastic cookery school, particularly one that is voted for by the public. May it be the beginning of many more.”
