Visitors to Plymouth will be getting a new welcome very soon.

The ‘Welcome to Plymouth’ flowerbed on the waterfront near Plymouth Hoe, is getting a makeover for 2015.

The words ‘Welcome to Plymouth’ will be written with chalk, using a similar technique to the white horses in Wiltshire or the giant at Cerne Abbas in Dorset. The aim is to ensure the sign is visible at all times...
